Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to shoot TV pilot Singularity in Vancouver

      The futuristic TV sitcom pilot Singularity, to be executive produced by Vancouver's Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, is gearing up for its shoot in Vancouver.

      The comedy, conceived by comedy writer Sonny Lee (Silicon Valley), is set in a future in which artificial intelligence becomes greater than human intelligence, thereby radically changing society.

      Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy Endings, New Girl) has been cast as Doug, a happy-go-lucky guy who, unlike others, readily embraces AI and all the pleasures that technology can provide.

      Michelle Buteau

      Meanwhile, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Michelle Buteau (Enlisted) will play Nancy, Doug's outspoken girlfriend who uses technology to get what she wants.

      The pilot will shoot in Vancouver from May 8 to 17.

      Goldberg and Rogen are childhood friends who have collaborated on films such as Superbad, Pineapple Express, This is the End, and The Interview (which was also shot in Vancouver).
