Star Wars gets sexy with The Empire Strips Back

On May 5, Geekenders presents The Empire Strips Back: A Sci-Fi Burlesque Adventure at the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway).

The local burlesque troupe, known for previous performances such as We All Float Down Here, will be putting its nerdlesque spin on classic sci-fi flick Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back.

Burlesque fans can take in titillating numbers by Draco Muff-Boi, Veronica Vamp, Jayne Fondue, Stephen Blakley, Trixie Hobbitses, Tylr Bourbon, David Ten-Inch, Kitty Glitter, Lithium Little, Androsia Wilde, Seam Fit-It-In, Rainbowglitz, Fanny Oakley, Ginger Femmecat, Cadence Winter Matthews, and Sasja Smolders.

Tickets for The Empire Strips Back are $25 at the door and $20 in advance. For more info, check out the event's Facebook page.
