Live Nation has announced that rockers the Afghan Whigs, with guests Har Mar Superstar, will play the Rickshaw Theatre on Tuesday, October 17, in support of their forthcoming album In Spades, due out May 5.

The Afghan Whigs is comprised of songwriter and frontman Greg Dulli, guitarists Dave Rosser and Jon Skibic, drummer Patrick Keeler, multi-instrumentalist Rick Nelson, and Whigs co-founder/bassist John Curley.

"It's a spooky record," Dulli notes of In Spades. "I like that it's veiled. It's not a concept album per se, but as I began to assemble it, I saw an arc and followed it. To me it's about memory--in particular, how quickly life and memory can blur together."

Tickets for the Vancouver show are priced at $30.00 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale to the general public this Friday (May 5) at 10 am on the Ticketmaster website.
