From May 25 to 27, Wen Wei Dance's Dialogue takes the stage at the Scotiabank Dance Centre (677 Davie).

Created by Vancouver choreographer Wen Wei Wang, the work draws from Wang’s personal experience as a non-English speaking immigrant to Canada, expressing the basic desire to be understood and the loneliness when those connections with others are not achieved.

Dialogue was created for six male dancers and features performances by Ralph Escamillan, Andrew Haydock, Arash Khakpour, Tyler Layton-Olson, Nicholas Lydiate, and Alex Tam.

Enhancing the production is music that ranges from Iceland-based Australian artist Ben Frost to late Canadian cultural icon Leonard Cohen.

Tickets for Dialogue are available online.
