MONDAY: Oklahoma City psych-rockers the Flaming Lips play the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

MONDAY: Canadian folk-pop singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith plays the Rio Theatre, touring behind new album The Last Rider.

TUESDAY: L.A. folk-rock trio the Wild Reeds plays the Biltmore, with guests Blank Range from Nashville.

TUESDAY: tribute to Led Zeppelin at the Commodore featuring drummer Jason Bonham, son of John Bonham.

TUESDAY: tribute to Ray Condo at the WISE Hall features music by Paul Pigat, Bloodshot Bill, Jimmy Roy, Stephen Nikleva, Steve Taylor, and Patrick Metzger.

TUESDAY: South African rock band Kongos plays the Imperial, touring behind latest album Egomaniac.

WEDNESDAY: Coastal Jazz presents New York City trumpeter Terrell Stafford at Frankie's Jazz.

WEDNESDAY: American comedian and musician Stephen Lynch performs at the Rio Theatre on his My Old Heart Tour.

WEDNESDAY: Detroit R&B singer-songwriter and producer JMSN plays Alexander Gastown.

THURSDAY: American alt-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Pete Yorn plays the Biltmore Cabaret.

THURSDAY: the Rogue Folk Club presents soul-gospel artist Mike Farris at St. James Hall, with guest Paul Pigat.

FRIDAY: Canadian punk- and alt-rock legend Art Bergmann plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Hunting.

FRIDAY: the Rogue Folk Club presents Brazilian-born vocalist Flávia Nascimento coheadlining St. James Hall with jazz-world composer and guitarist Itamar Erez.

FRIDAY: fundraising gospel concert at Surrey's Chandos Pattison Auditorium features music by Ron Kenoly, Tamara Kleinsasser, Theo Bessem, Pentab of B.C. Choir, Michelle Vanderhoef, Robyn St. Amand, Sue Penner, and Gabby Magna, with proceeds to Holy Seed International and Mercy Touch Mission International.
