Excitement builds over tonight's U2 concert in Vancouver
There's a long lineup snaking around B.C. Place Stadium this morning, notwithstanding the rain.
It's all because Bono and the boys are kicking off the Joshua Tree Tour 2017 in Vancouver after spending more than a week in town in rehearsals.
The show is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., which means that anyone headed into the downtown for any reason should leave a few minutes early.
It will be U2's 16th concert in Vancouver.

The first Vancouver gig was way back in 1981 at the Commodore Ballroom.
The band graduated to Queen Elizabeth Theatre in 1983 before its first Vancouver stadium show at B.C Place in 1987.
