      What to expect: Stacked Comedy is a weekly Monday night standup comedy showcase hosted by Karl Sullivan and features some of the best Comedians working in Vancouver as well touring headliners from across the US and Canada.

      When and where: May 16-20 at the Comedy MIX. at Tuesday-Thursday at 8:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday 8 and 10:30 p.m. shows.
      What to expect: Plant yourself in a plush booth, graze on some pub grub, sip a beer or two, and laugh along with some new and hot standup comedy. Oh, by the way, nobody else is responsible if you laugh so hard beer comes out of your nose. Just warning you. Pro-am night on May 16, Comedy Showcase on May 17, Chris James headlines on May 18-20.

      What to expect: Introducing Magic Mic! The hottest open-mic in the West End. Calling all comedians, musicians, and all performance acts!       What to expect: Jokes Please! is an award-winning stand-up comedy show that happens every Thursday at LMG.       What to expect: Subtitled “a male stripper parody and improv comedy show” A fictitious male stripper troupe, played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians, performs a scared shirtless improv comedy show. They sing, they “dance”. These guys are oiled up and ready to make you laugh at them.

      What to expect: The Las Vegas Magazine calls him a "Comedic Genius", the New York Times says he's "Wickedly Funny!", and he’ll have you crying with laughter. Frank Olivier (The Tonight Show, America's Got Talent, Just For Laughs) brings his one-man Cirque du Soleil meets Penn & Teller style Twisted Cabaret to Vancouver.

      What to expect: Come support the 2017 Vancouver Art Book Fair while sharing drinks and gags with some of Vancouver’s funniest comedians. Cameron Macleod (The Hero Show, House On Fire Comedy, JFL NorthWest) has put together a line-up of musical, standup and physical acts only book fair goers could love.       What to expect: April showers bring May flowers. But in this time the April showers were us not having a show, and the May flowers is that sweet smell of comedy. You may wonder what comedy smells like, you don't have to make a dumb comment about it, but you should come to the show to find out.

      What to expect: 1994 was a big year for Vancouver. On a tiny stage in Gastown a band of Vancouver’s finest young comedic minds began to build what would become Instant Theatre Company: the home for alternative theatrical improv in Vancouver.
