From June 8 to 18, In Tune 2017 takes place on Granville Island and at the Post at 750 (110-750 Hamilton).

Presented by Touchstone Theatre, the biennial event encourages the development of new Canadian musicals, serves as a launchpad for homegrown hits, and strengthens individual artists' musical-theatre practices.

In Tune 2017 features public showcases of new musicals from award-winning artists, master classes from professional musical-theatre instructors and New York musical producer Jack Viertel, and panel discussions and conversations that connect artists across mediums.

Showcases at this year's event include The Longing and the Short of It, The Mysteries, What's On Your Mind, Stars Without Makeup, The Preposterous Posthumous Predicament of Paulie Peel, and The Sweet Life.

Touchstone interim ad and In Tune producer Amiel Gladstone says that "the calibre of artists gathered in our eleven-day event is just another testament to the strength of new work coming out of this country and our role as a real leader in the development of new musicals."

All events at In Tune 2017 are by donation, with the exception of the master classes.
