Fans of seventies guitar-rock will definitely want to pencil in a visit or two the Pacific National Exhibition this year.

The PNE has just announced its lineup for the Summer Night Concerts series, and it looks as though rockin' tunes like "La Grange", "China Grove", and "Rock Lobster" will be accompaniment for munching on those mini-donuts and candy apples.

As well as ZZ Top (August 24), the Doobie Brothers (August 31), and the B-52s (August 30), the lineup includes such Canuck-rock faves as Tom Cochrane and Red Rider (August 29) and Colin James (August 26).

There's also American classic-rock acts Chicago (August 25), Huey Lewis and the News (August 27), Rick Springfield (September 1), and the Pointer Sisters (August 22).

The lineup is rounded out by Billy Currington (August 20), High Valley (August 23), the Gipsy Kings (September 2), the iHeart Radio Beach Ball (September 3 and 4), and Vancouver's own Mother Mother (August 19).

Concerts are free with admission, but a limited number of reserved seats are available starting at $20.
