The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the 2017 Vancouver Taiwanese Film Festival

From June 9 to 11, the 2017 Vancouver Taiwanese Film Festival takes over the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour).

The 11th annual cinematic celebration presents a wide selection of films spanning genres such as horror, drama, and suspense.

This year, cinephiles can expect to take in screenings of Ode to Time, My Egg Boy, Hang in There, Kids!, Formosa Betrayed, White Lies, Black Lies, Betelnut Girls, The Tag-Along, and 52Hz, I Love You, as well as a short-film series.

The 2017 Vancouver Taiwanese Film Festival is a coproduction of student association the UBC Literature Etc. and the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Society, with major sponsorship from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and the Taiwan Ministry of Culture and Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vancouver.
