Next Thursday (June 22), the Rio Theatre hosts a tribute to award-winning humorist Stuart McLean.

Known for hosting the CBC Radio program The Vinyl Cafe and writing the subsequent book series, McLean passed away in February due to complications from melanoma.

The tribute will feature local storytellers and musicians presenting their original work in celebration of the art of storytelling.

Vinyl Cafe fans can expect to take in performances by T J Dawe, Dylan Rhymer, Beverly Elliott, Bryant Ross, Maia Gibbs, Gary Jones, Duncan Shields, Christine Taylor, Stephen Fearing, and Kathleen Nisbet.

Tickets for the tribute evening are $20 at the door, $17 in advance online.
