Although the city is awash in sushi restaurants, Vancouverites now have one less option.

After garnering a following during its eight-year run, Juno Japanese Sushi Bistro has called it quits.

Located at 572 Davie Street across from Emery Barnes Park and just outside of Yaletown, the eatery closed its doors for good on May 27.

The menu has included offerings such as sashimi, chicken karaage, tempura, chirashi don, live uni, sushi rolls, and even ramen.

That last item was offered as a special because Juno owner Jun Okamura also runs The Ramenman at 841 Bidwell Street, just off Robson Street, in the West End's ramen district.

Meanwhile, there have been a number of restaurant closures and changes in the area.

A few blocks away from Juno, Stack House Burger Bar shut down earlier this year at 1224 Granville Street. Over in Yaletown, the Chinese restaurant 21 Nautical Miles also closed down at 1257 Hamilton Street earlier this year.

Back in January, the nearby Lebanese eatery Nuba relocated from 1206 Seymour Street to 508 Davie Street.
