Just in time for the summer heat, the international teahouse chain Chatime is continuing its expansion across Metro Vancouver by opening up more locations in rapid succession.

On June 16, the company opened a location in East Vancouver at 2740 East Hastings.

Back on March 10, the Kerrisdale location opened at 6075 West Boulevard.

With locations in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, and Surrey, they now have a total seven shops in the Lower Mainland.

But that's not all, as Chatime also is planning to expand into Vancouver Island with locations in Victoria and Nanaimo in the near future.

Worldwide, the Taiwan-based Asian beverage franchise has over 1,000 locations, including China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, India, Canada, and the U.S.

Their seemingly endless drinks menu covers milk tea, pop tea, mousse, smoothies, juice, and coffee, with an extensive array of flavours, toppings, and variations.

Iced summer tea specials this year in Vancouver include berries black tea and grapefruit black tea.

Earlier this month, Chatime also introduced their sister brand ZenQ BC at the Illumination Vancouver International Summer Night Market (12631 River Road, Richmond).

ZenQ offers Taiwanese desserts ($8 each), such as tofu pudding with taro, grass jelly with taro, and black glutinous rice with sweet potato, and drinks ($5 each) like ZenQ milk tea with grass jelly and Mango Refresher with pearls and jelly.
