After a successful return to TV this spring, Top Chef Canada is casting for its sixth season.

The high-stakes culinary competition, which pits 16 of the country’s leading chefs against one another in various elimination-style cook-offs, awards the winner with the coveted title of Top Chef Canada and a cash prize. Last season’s winning chef went home with $100,000 and a Monogram kitchen valued at $25,000.

Interested contestants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and at least 19 years of age as of June 1, 2017. The casting process happens online and involves a five-part application form that includes questions like “What is your signature dish?” and “What is your best culinary skill?”

Past Vancouver-based chefs who have appeared on the series include Fable and Fable Diner's Trevor Bird, Mission's Curtis Luk, Torafuku's Clement Chan, and AnnaLena's Michael Robbins. Dale MacKay, the winner of the Food Network series' first season, was also based in Vancouver when he was crowned the first-ever Top Chef Canada.

Casting is open online until August 18 at 3 p.m. PT. Check out the video below for a taste of what you can expect on the series.
