Vancouver World Naked Bike Ride 2017 to ride by the light of their full moons

Pro-cycling, pro-body-positivity, pro-streaking, anti-car, and anti-clothing activists will take to the streets of Vancouver in one seething critical mass of cheekiness this weekend.

The Vancouver event for the World Naked Bike Ride 2017 will be held on Saturday (July 22) from noon to 6 p.m. to draw attention to the need to decrease gas-powered transportation and the desperate demand for nudity-powered transit. It will be a prime opportunity for those who are uncomfortable cycling naked alone and prefer to streak in the company of others.

Participants will converge at Sunset Beach Park in Vancouver's West (Rear) End. Performances and body painting will be held from noon to 2 p.m.

There's no word yet if there will be any indoor naked spinning classes to be held concurrently for those who wish to partake in the festivities yet would like to do so within the confines of a room.

Those who are uncomfortable cycling naked in public are welcome to do so at home alone on a stationary bike. However, such participants should be aware that they will have zero political impact, therefore defeating the purpose of participating.

Sunscreen, shoes, and particularly seats are all highly recommended.

Nudity is not required to participate. Yet it remains unclear if clothing would be deemed a bummer by bystanders seeking an opportunity to peek at cheeks.

The ride will be held regardless of weather, as if it rains, participants will be less smelly, particularly if baking expert Pete Schweddy attends.

Pro-cycling Mayor Gregor Robertson has yet to confirm if he will participate and if so, if he will be distributing full-frontal selfies. Vancouver city council was unavailable for comment on this matter.
