Vancouver Police Department adds fully electric motorcycles to fleet

Vancouver just got a tiny bit greener.

That's because the city police force has added two new electric motorcycles to its fleet.

"This summer, you might need to look twice when you see VPD traffic officers riding by on their new Zero electric motorcycles, because you sure won't hear them," Const. Anne-Marie Clark says in the amusing video below.

She explains the bikes don't require fuel, oil, a clutch, gears, transmission, or transmission fluid.

What she neglects to mention is that these quieter bikes also make it easier for the cops to nab motorists talking on their hand-held phones. Be forewarned!
