Anthony Bourdain is coming to Vancouver

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain is coming to Vancouver.
He’ll speak at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts for one night only, Saturday, October 29 at 8 p.m., with storytelling and an audience Q&A.
Tickets go on sale July 15 at 10 a.m., with prices ranging from $47.50 to $152.50 for VIP packages. Tickets will be available by phone at 855-985-5000 or at Ticketmaster.ca.

My kind of asshole. I'll take one Anthony Bourdain over all the goody two-shoes post-hippies here in No-Fun City any day. But even I wouldn't shell out 50, let 150 bucks to hear him speak. That's bona fide highway robbery. Where are those arbitrary by-laws when you really need them?

I've been in the restaurant industry for 20 years. Bourdain is my idol. I paid for VIP tickets me and 3 friends are all going.

Flying in from the Kootenays to see him spending all the dough for vip tickets... for those of you who don't get it could never be explained in a 100 years.Everyone has the right to be inspired by whom ever they like... We jumped at the chance to hear him and meet him.
