Apple iPad Mini coming this fall?
Poor Microsoft and Google. While the tech giants are finally making some waves with the forthcoming Surface and Nexus 7, respectively, Apple could be set to overshadow them this year with its own big tablet news.
A report by Bloomberg says the company of the late Steve Jobs is gearing up to launch a smaller and cheaper iPad by the end of the year. The "iPad Mini" could be revealed by October, according to Bloomberg's totally anonymous sources.
The report says the new model will have a seven-to-eight-inch screen. You know, less bulky than today's iPad but still kind of awkward to use.

Isn't the IPad just a bigger IPod Touch, making this more of an IPod Maxi?

Another overpriced gadget from apple which people don't really need. The argument that these devices are 'green' is crap. Everyone knows that they will just buy the newest device even if they have the earlier generation. Our culture is psychotic with over-consumption. Go to the library and borrow a book. We seem to think this shit makes our lives better. Just mining the very last of scarce minerals we have on this earth to make more gadgets so everyone can have ten of these things. And in the process we exploit people in countries without living wages or labour laws.
