Batman Begins (again) at the Rio Theatre
This Thursday (July 19) the Rio Theatre is hosting a mini marathon of Batman movies.
Showing at 6 pm, Batman Begins explores the origins of Batman (Christian Bale), including the loss of his parents, his crime-fighting tutelage under Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) and Ra's al Ghul (Ken Watanabe), his creation of the Batman persona, and his eventual fight to wrest control of Gotham City from the underworld and criminals like the Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy).
Showing at 9 pm, The Dark Knight chronicles the events that unfold when Batman, lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman), and district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) launch an assault on the mob. At first successful, this initiative ultimately clears the way for new psychotic criminal masterminds like the Joker (Heath Ledger).
Tickets for the Batman double bill are $8. Prizes will be given out for best movie-related outfit, so you better start looking for a past Halloween costume now.
If after all that you’re still craving more Batman, the theatre will also be hosting a special midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of director Christopher Nolan’s series.

Even at home it would be hard. Its just too long!
I tried to do all of LOTR (extended) once, and I got through only 1.5 movies.
It seems the only thing I can marathon without a big struggle is a season of a tv show that I have never seen before (and is good).
