B.C. Lions will host Calgary Stampeders in CFL Western final

The Calgary Stampeders are on their way to Vancouver to determine who's best in the West. The Stamps punched their ticket to next Sunday's Western final at B.C. Place Stadium with a last minute 36-30 victory over the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders this afternoon. Receiver Romby Bryant hauled in a 68-yard touchdown pass with 20 seconds remaining to put Calgary in front moments after the Riders had taken the lead on a touchdown pass of their own.

The Lions won the regular season's series from Calgary beating the Stamps in two of their three meetings including the lone showdown in Vancouver. The Lions finished atop the West Division with a 13-5 record while Calgary was second at 12-6. The Stamps are led offensively by CFL rushing leader Jon Cornish—the New Westminster native is up for both Most Outstanding Player and Top Canadian in the CFL this season. Calgary was 5-4 on the road this year while the Lions boast an impressive 8-1 record at B.C. Place.

The Western final is set for 1:30 p.m. next Sunday (November 18). The winner will represent the West in the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto on November 25.
