Beans 'n' jeans and B.C. Liberals

The B.C. Liberals are getting somewhat comical in their efforts to convey that they're a party of the people.

Over the weekend, the silk-stocking crowd held a Beans n' Jeans hoedown-style event at Conservative senator Gerry St. Germain's ranch in South Surrey.

They even crafted a Twitter hashtag, #beansnjeans, with the faithful sending regular blasts to their followers.

Here's one from former CTV news anchor Pamela Martin, who's better known for wearing designer duds than for dressing for the stampede: "Great crowd, good food, over 1400 very positive free enterprisers at #BeansNJeans on a perfect sunny day."

Here's a tweet from former finance minister Colin Hansen, who represents one of the wealthiest constituencies in the province: "I'm with 1,500 #BCLiberals attending #BeansNJeans today in Surrey. One of the biggest political rallies ever for a non election year."

You gotta love those B.C. Liberals. They're just such regular folks, eatin' beans like all those kids in poverty.

Please, with your dismal track record and members jumping ship the only thing in common with this get together is what happens after the beans.

'Beans, jeans and sardines.' It would make a good title for a heart-breaking blues theme song for the Libs. They could shoot the on-a shoestring video at a food bank and invite the Fraser Institute to join in on the chorus of course- that goes 'we shall overcome...'

The kids with their pesticide-laden GMO beans ain't the only ones party'n down...
From the CBC Nfld. website:

"In the first five months of 2012, the high commissioner to the United Kingdom has billed $67,026 on dinners, lunches, and cocktail receptions. He's also billed three tuxedo rentals at a cost of $600.

Campbell's total tab is nearly three times more than any other ambassador in the same period, according to figures posted online by Foreign Affairs under proactive disclosure rules."

If you go over to Alex Tskamis's blog you can even see the pictures & video of CC carrying on like a banchie. It is funnier than hell, if you can sit through the whole 9 minutes. I turned off the sound at 3 min. 47 sec. but watched the rest in silence. It really is quite funny without the sound, kind of interesting.

Beans & Jeans. well the beans will result in more hot air from the lieberals & thats all we hve had from them.

As to their claims of the # in attendance. I think its a little over estimated. As I read Rebel with a Clause, it advised only 15 MLAs were in attendance.

Claims of this being the largest rally in a non election yr., ya right.

Of course we may hear more details about the little party which didn't now that cc slammed Vaughan Palmer & her former radio station employer during her speech.

From the look of CC I think maybe she should stick to a diet of beans for a while so those jeans fit a bit better and at the same time go back to scholl to learn a bit about english. Gunna do this or that.

Of those beans, hard to digest and leave a foul smell behind when ever someone gets a mouthful and will be canned in the next election.
