The Beatles: Rock Band anticipation makes me want to jam
For some, Rock Band still gets regular rotation in their gaming system. Others are just fair-weather players—myself included.
Initially, I got really in to Guitar Hero and Rock Band. But then I lost interest as nothing has come out in the last while that has intrigued me enough to pretend I can play guitar or drums—or sing, for that matter.
Hearing the news that there is going to be a Beatles disc coming out for Rock Band has got me wanting to blow the dust off of the old plastic axe and start jamming again. The initial trailer released at the E3 press conference in June was done beautifully—well enough that nongamers might think twice about not having Rock Band in their life.

A limited edition of the game will include a replica Hí¶fner bass; Ludwig drums, complete with a classic pearl finish and vintage Beatles kick-drum head; microphone; and “additional special content”. If you aren’t interested in the instruments, you will be able to buy the game disc by itself.
You may want to get yourself on a pre-buy list somewhere, as gamers everywhere will be going “goo goo gajoob ga goo goo gajoob” for it.
The Beatles: Rock Band is scheduled to be released on September 9.
