Big Brother Canada auditions headed to Vancouver
Another major reality show competition is heading to Canada this fall. Following a nationwide round of auditions for the inaugural season of The Bachelor Canada, a casting call for the first season of Big Brother Canada will be kicking off this fall.
The popular television series sees a group of 12 to 16 competitors living together in a house that’s been wired with cameras. In order to win the cash prize, competitors must survive weeks of “evictions” and be the last person in the house. Of course, all of the drama and romance that happens between these strangers in the Big Brother house is all caught on camera.
The Canadian edition will be produced by Shaw Media and Insight Productions, who are looking for “extroverts, conformists, risk takers, adventurers, romantics, leaders, plotters and planners, and those who don’t mind a little healthy competition,” according a July 30 news release.
Applicants must be 19 years or older and can audition by submitting a short video through the online application or by heading to one of five city auditions. Live auditions begin in Vancouver on September 23 and end in Toronto on October 14, with stops in Calgary, Halifax, and Montreal in between. The deadline for online applications is October 16, and all successful applicants will be notified by December 20.
