Billy Joel vs. UFOs
I always look forward to Anonymous FO’s round-up of the “best” UFO footage at the end of every month, a service they’ve been providing for a couple years or so. While the usual mundane explanations probably apply to most of the clips they find—hoaxes, flares, lanterns, lens and digital artifacts, Richard Branson—there are always a few that’ll have you scratching your head (I quite like “Daytime UFO over Hong Kong” at 2:00).
This is no endorsement of the true believers over at AnonymousFO, by the way—especially with that looped Billy Joel soundtrack—but I appreciate what they’re doing, all the same.

One of the first albums I bought of my own accord and fell in love with was Billy Joel's The Stranger, believe it or not. I mean, I was 12 or something. Saw him on the Glass Houses tour, even (first concert I ever attended of my own choosing). It was kind of enjoyable to drift along to that loop without any guilt feelings...

In that case I'll come clean and admit that I loved The Stranger and 52nd Street when I was around the same age. Glass Houses was a bit of a deal breaker though.

I, uh, loved "Close to the Borderline" off that album, God help me. I thought it sounded tough. Ha!
