Call of Duty: Black Ops brings you JFK, zombie hunter
Ever wonder what it would have been like if there’d been a zombie outbreak right after the Cuban Missile Crisis? And U.S. president John F. Kennedy, defense secretary Robert McNamara, Richard Nixon, and Fidel Castro teamed up to hunt zombies?
No? Well, the newest entry in the Call of Duty video-game series entertains this scenario. Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on Tuesday (November 9).
While the main focus of the game is various Cold War scenarios (a Lockheed SR-71 mission, plus wet work in Vietnam and the Soviet Union), a zombie mode transports you to parallel-universe zombie Camelot. Players can assume the identities of Kennedy, McNamara, Castro, and Nixon, and roam the halls of the Pentagon dispatching zombies in a standard first-person shooter format.
And one thing is clear: this fantastic foursome will pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, and oppose any foe in order to assure the survival and the success of human race.
