CFL legends Joe Kapp and Angelo Mosca trade blows at Grey Cup alumni lunch

Two long-time rivals in their 70s got into a fight on stage at a CFL alumni luncheon.

The quick scrap ended after former B.C. Lions quarterback Joe Kapp floored cane-wielding former Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive linemen Angelo Mosca with a punch.

Held on November 25, the luncheon was part of the Grey Cup weekend in Vancouver.

Hey, I've got Joe Kapp's autograph from when I was a kid! Sure turned into a cranky old bastard.

Did you line up to get Idi Amin's X as well? Yeah?

The real beauty of this scrap is that it is based on an on-field incident that took place nearly 50 years ago. Just goes to show that no matter what they say in the post game interview, athletes have NOT "put that loss behind us". And it gives me hope that at some far distant future alumni meal, Trevor Linden will finally drop Mark Messier with that well deserved punch to the solar plexus.
