Confessions arrive on Straight.com

    1 of 1 2 of 1

If you’re a fan of Dan Savage’s column in the Georgia Straight or you regularly peruse our I Saw You section, you just might love Confessions.

It’s a new feature on Straight.com for those interested in submitting revelations about their private lives—or for the voyeurs among us who want to read what other people have disclosed.

These confessions can be sexual in nature, workplace-related, or about something that happened at home that you don’t want to admit to a partner. You can even confess to the private thoughts you had as you rode the transit system to work or school.

Best of all, the confessions are completely anonymous.

      Check out Confessions.

My friends keep telling me that immigrants come here and have no intention of learning the languages of Canada or any of the customs and that they hate Canadians, now I feel like everyone gives me dirty looks ... am I being crazy?

      is it that bad?

I've been told I come off as a bitch. Truth is I'm very shy and it takes a lot for me to get to know people. I have an easier time with guys as they tend to expect a little more from me. Girls typically consider me a threat before realizing i'm a complete idiot and no threat at all.

i love confessions. i pick up the straight just for this column. i applaud, Canada not the land of opportunity & vancouver crowds are lame. in 2004 a friend of mine made a film about vancouver called Le Cafe de marseille a vancouver. . he could not get it off the ground. although it was a low budget , the film was good, However, all those from on high who could make it fly decided to make it sink. it was a funny, interesting film with good content? Why?Wèell It was a bit critical of vancouver and vancouverites and that just would not do for vancouver., much of the opinion in the film , came from foreigners or the marginalized who are often more objective about vancouver than vancouverites who are born in vancouver are. vancouver wants to have all the merit that a big cultural giant like montreal, NY, Moscow, Paris, mexico city or Tokyo has, but it does not want to go through the growing pains to achieve this These cities have have taken the criticism and then used it to refine and develop themselves. If vancouver did not have the landscape, first nations culture and the wonderful ethnic diversity it would have nothing. Corporatism rules more and more in vancouver and is borrowed from the cheapest of american culture. Much too much overated. Expand Confessions.

Bad publicizing some of the BS I have read in Confessions "I took one for the team" really? This guy should not be given a platform to stand on are you hoping women will realize how unevolved emotionally and mentally men really are? or is it just that someone found it amusing? one might not publish it is it he had said I took had to take home the black girl or the disabled one!!!!! Think about it the chubby one?? this moron obviously doesn't realize that we all have a choice and if he was my son I would say go home and if his friends do't like it then they can piss off! What is this saying about how we raise our sons with no reverence for women, bodies or our emotions. Think before you pick which confessions to publish please this or it will just remain a stinking pile of horse dung.
