Conservatives give fossil fuels another boost

Postmedia reporter Mike De Souza has just tweeted the following: 

"Peter Kent offers new fossil fuel subsidy on New Year's Eve"

The environment minister has issued a news release proposing a "permanent national exemption from the 2% renewable content requirement in home heating oil, as well as a 6-month extension to the extension from the 2% renewable content requirement for diesel fuel for Canada's Maritime Provinces".

Could this lead to another Fossil of the Day award?
