Darth Vader and Son explores the dark and light sides of parenting

As if geeks in Vancouver weren’t already busy enough with this weekend’s Fan Expo Vancouver and screenings of Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope , a new iteration of fandom’s most infamous father-son relationship has been published.

Author and comic artist Jeffrey Brown’s new book Darth Vader and Son examines the common trials that Darth Vader and son Luke Skywalker go through on a daily basis. Sweetly drawn comics follow the two as they navigate their way through trick-or-treating with a young Admiral Ackbar, going for ice cream in the deserts of Tatooine, and playing baseball with a lightsaber. I totally sympathize with the denial of any Jar Jar Binks toys, though. Luke doesn’t need any of that crap.

And yes, I did write this just so I could post this video.
