In an effort to cash in on the highly anticipated release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, American family-style eatery Denny’s has decided to roll out a limited-time menu featuring dishes inspired by the book and film series.

The new menu will feature 11 dishes like Bilbo’s Berry Smoothie, Lonely Mountain Treasure, Radagast’s Red Velvet Pancake Puppies, and the Lone-Lands Campfire Cookie Milk Shake.

In a statement, Denny’s chief marketing officer Francis Allen said that “We were inspired by the imaginative world of Middle-earth and wanted to offer fellow fans an equally inspired food experience to share in the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming debut.”

Fair enough, although I’m not entirely convinced that cream-cheese icing is related to anything in the story. But then again, I'm probably just a little miffed that there’s no One Ring Onion Rings Plate or Lembas Bread Sampler.
