A highly respected German magazine has become a laughingstock for a day.

Der Spiegel managed this by posting on its website an unfinished obituary of the 41st president of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush.

According to the piece by New York correspondent Marc Pitzke, Bush was "a colorless politician".

The unfinished article appeared after the 88-year-old president had been transferred from intensive care to a regular hospital room.

Yes folks, Bush Sr. is still alive—20 years after he left the White House.
