If you love desserts and have a tendency to dance whilst on a sugar high, you may want to check out Indulge n’ Dance, a new event taking place at the W2 Media Café (151 Cordova Street) on April 14 starting at 8:30 p.m.

The 19-plus, after-dinner event created by Social Bites owner Annika Reinhardt, features some of Metro Vancouver’s up-and-coming pastry makers and DJs Girl on Wax, who will be spinning dance hits from the ‘80s and ‘90s—to help you dance off all those calories, no less.

Desserts that will be featured at the inaugural event include vanilla buttermilk cake pops coated in white Belgium chocolate and candied maple bacon by Some Kind of Wonderful, pina colada cupcakes with pineapple cream-cheese icing and toasted coconut by Guava Jelly Cupcakes, Matcha-flavoured macarons with white chocolate yuzu ganache by Kawaii Eats, dark chocolate doughnuts with whiskey-orange glaze by Hyggelig, apple-caramel pie pops by The Pie Hole, chocolate ganache tars with salted caramel by Yummy Workshop, and chocolate-covered molasses-spiced cookie balls and rosemary shortbread cookies by Rosy’s Bake Shoppe.

      Is your mouth watering yet?

Tickets to the event are $18 and can be purchased online. Tickets include admission, one full-sized dessert from one of the pastry makers, one small dessert from the W2 Media Café, and one Salt Spring Coffee beverage. Additional tickets can be purchased at the event for extra desserts and alcoholic beverages.
