DJ Qualls seeks apology from Vancouver police for beating

DJ Qualls says he's growing a "police brutality beard" because every time he shaves his face he cuts a scar he got in Vancouver.

Last night, the American actor told the story of his alleged beating in September at the hands of a Vancouver police officer on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

"I guess this cop saw me and decided that I look dangerous and a threat to public safety....I know, it was awful," Qualls told the talk-show host.

Ferguson asked Qualls if the VPD apologized.

"We're working that out," he replied.

Qualls, who starred in Road Trip and Hustle & Flow, said an apology would be enough for him. He said he's not suing the police because he doesn't want to take taxpayers' money.

Or maybe he's not suing the police because it didn't really happen. If he sues, he would have to prove the incident did happen. As it is, he's getting a lot of mileage out of an alleged incident. Not a bad move for a marginal actor who could use any publicity he can get. If he was a top rated actor, he wouldn't be appearing on the Craig Ferguson show

Oh please, bobo. If he was suing, you'd be ripping on him for taking taxpayers money. Just be honest and say you're lashing out at someone who has the gaul to stand up to your boys in blue. I suggest you Google the incident. This man has plenty of evidence to back up his story.
