Don't you love it when politicians hang out with Olympians?

Gordon Campbell showed up on the Today show in red mittens.

I know what you're thinking. "BCLTV" doesn't quite have the same cachet as CBC.

But I couldn't resist sharing this gem from the station brought to you by the B.C. Liberal caucus.

It shows—you guessed it—a provincial cabinet minister, Ida Chong, getting photographed with the newest Canadian heroes in her area.

It makes you yearn for the glory days of 2010 when 24 hours wouldn't pass without another photo of Fearless Gordo in his red mittens.

The NDP, the Green Party polititions & others left of centre would do the same & you know it.

Whenever a politician of any stripe does it, the term for trying to bask in the presumed reflected glory of an Olympian (or other sports hero) is "jock sniffing".
