The end of the world begins on May 21

Fuck 2012. Apparently, the world is actually going to end in 2011.

That’s according to California evangelist Harold Camping of Family Radio.

Camping says the Rapture—Judgment Day for you nonbelievers—will take place on May 21 of this year.

Of course, he previously predicted the Rapture would happen in 1994. (It didn’t.)

Now, Camping claims to have found overwhelming evidence in the Bible that the apocalypse is upon us. As the story goes, God created the world in 11,013 BC and will destroy it on October 21, 2011.

In this video interview, Camping explains his thinking:

Clearly, this is a guy who knows what’s going on.

Wondering what’s in store for us on Judgment Day? The Family Radio site states:

A great earthquake will occur the Bible describes it as “such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.” This earthquake will be so powerful it will throw open all graves. The remains of the all the believers who have ever lived will be instantly transformed into glorified spiritual bodies to be forever with God.

On the other hand the bodies of all unsaved people will be thrown out upon the ground to be shamed.

The inhabitants who survive this terrible earthquake will exist in a world of horror and chaos beyond description. Each day people will die until October 21, 2011 when God will completely destroy this earth and its surviving inhabitants.

Sounds like fun, eh?

In any case, you and I probably aren’t going to be raptured up to heaven. Camping claims God only plans to “rescue” 200 million people.

See you at the Rapture after-party on May 22.

If God is planning to save 200 million people, He must have very low standards.

I only know five people worth saving, and one of them is me.

The rest of the "saved" will just turn out to be giant pains in the butt - again.

When trying to describe religious fruitcakes like Billy Graham, Tim LaHaye or Harold Camping.

May the Flying Spaghetti Monster deliver us from these freakshows!

I believe I'm the reincarnation of Jesus, but this whole Harold Camping bit seems a tad over the top IMHO:

No one knows the hour or the day of The Rapture...it's coming. But not May 21st. Camping has already proved himself to in error. Another note. Judgement day will take place after The Great Tribulation. It's real people. I am a born again Christian but I fail to see the effects of books/movies like The Left Behind series etc...someone's making big money and people are being entertained,or not. But the message is not getting out. Where you spend eternity is your choice...but you will spend it somewhere. God Bless...
P.S. Billy Graham is a man of integrity.

Hi,
This is the real News of the Revelation. Beware: anyone else saying they're bringing it, are false christ and false prophets.

I alone am bringing the real Message. All others lie.

Which is that:

the day of Obama's victory news issue, the Lottery draw was 666 on Page 2, back-to-back with his victory headline news.

Spread this news massively, everywhere, to reach all in the world, through all media, means and methods.
Geir Smith.

The real Messiah, Geir Smith, is almost too humble.

He fails to mention that he himself was raptured to this earth on 090909. Think about it, people. Geir Smith came to us on the 9th day of the 9th month of the 9th year. Three times nine equals 27! Think about it!!

090909 read upside down (or in China) is 606060. Remove the zero factor, as it only serves to display a false moral equivalency, and we see that Messiah Geir Smith has turned the Devil's 666 upside down! This is further proof of the Messiah himself!!

How much more evidence do we need, people? Geir Smith brings the real news. All others have been captured by Satan, or the School of the French Stipulationists, whichever is worse.

Also, it must be noted that Geir Smith's initials are the same as the Georgia Straight. This must count for something!!!

Don't forget to bring your camera to work that day. There's bound to be plenty of loonies out, disappointed the world didn't end. They pray for rapture because life on earth for them sucks - no fun and a focus on the afterlife leaves their current condition quite pathetic! As Bob Marley sang 'if you know what life is worth, you will look for yours on earth' - well said Bob, RIP.
