Finally: sensible (and socially conscious) wedding shoes
Finally a bridal trend that isn't about sheer suffering.
Here is some footwear for the big day that will let you dance till the last glass of champagne is downed. TOMS is introducing wedding shoes for both brides and grooms—and they're perfect for a West Coast-casual ceremony. (See retailers at tomsshoes.ca/wedding.)
They come in basic white and black; for those needing a little extra bling, there's shimmery silver versions of the classic, flat canvas shoes, too (all about $55).
The company's social mandate holds with the new collection: with every shoe purchased, it will give one to a child in need. TOMS, which we recently profiled, has given more than a million pairs to children in need around the world.
That, and the new bride who opts for these over her patent-white heels will actually be able to walk in the morning.
