Fiona Apple tickets go on sale today at 10 am

The Georgia Straight is presenting American singer-songwriter Fiona Apple. The baroque pop songstress will be performing an all-ages show at the Orpheum on Tuesday, July 24, in support of her upcoming album The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do.

Apple made her debut at age 19 with 1996’s Tidal, winning her Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single “Criminal" at the Grammy Awards. When the Pawn…followed in 1999, and Extraordinary Machine debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and appeared on numerous critics’ best-of-2005 lists.

The Idler Wheel…, set for release on June 19, will be Apple’s first album in seven years.

Tickets for the show are priced at $39.50, $55.00 & $75.00 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale today (Friday, April 20) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase at all Ticketmaster Outlets and Rogers Wireless Box Office.
