Former Oasis member Liam Gallagher sues brother Noel, nobody cares

Rolling Stone is reporting today that UK rock 'n' bad boy Liam Gallagher is suing his older brother Noel over remarks the latter made in 2009 during Oasis's breakup.

"I have taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made during the Electric Cinema press conference on July 6 during which he claimed Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V Festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover," came the statement from Oasis's former lead singer today. The younger Gallagher also stated that Noel's claims that a fight over advertising for Liam's clothing line led to the demise of the band were false.

"There are many reasons why Oasis split. But it had nothing to do with my clothing range," said Liam.

Liam, here's a newsflash for you: you ceased to be relevant, like, 11 years ago. And this is from someone who had a poster of you hanging over her bed all through her teenage years. You were only entertaining when you were fighting with photogs, knocking up models, and singing your brother's songs.

I now humbly submit my absolute favourite Oasis moment in video form: the band's accepting the award for Best Video at the 1996 Brit Awards, in which Noel inexplicably says the word sausages and Liam pretends to kick a soccer ball around the stage. Those were your glory years, Liam. Now? Nobody cares what you have to say.

If as you say, "nobody cares". Why on earth are you still writing about him? Obviously he is still relevant to you.

They Sold Out Madison Square Garden on their last 2 tours (2006 & 2008). They continued to pack stadiums worldwide and arena's across North America right up until the end. Like them or not, they've always been very relevant, and they are clearly still relevant enough for you to write about them.

Kind of strange to be picking on Liam Gallagher for being irrelevant. Beady Eye's new album has already gone gold over in the UK and they're set to come over here in the fall.

Oasis has always been successful in Canada - both in '05 and '06 they had albums go gold here and their final album the following year debuted in the top-5. Perhaps if you were writing for an American paper, you'd be correct, but this is just mean-spirited.

Why write an article about someone about whom 'no-one cares'? I was going to say Liam's a dick, but the writer of the article is a bigger dick!
