Game of Thrones food whets the appetite

While there’s still a few months to go until the second season of Game of Thrones hits the airwaves (slated to begin April 1), fans of George R. R. Martin’s epic-fantasy series can still get their fill of Westeros with The Inn at the Crossroads.

This blog, created by two fans of the series, recreates food found in and inspired by the people, places, and events of Westeros. Each post covers one dish, complete with a quote linking it to the series, a picture, the creators’ thoughts, and the recipe itself. Expect to find food and drink like strawberry pie, spit-roasted rabbit, grilled snake, and lemonsweet.

If you prefer to get your recipes from a book, the blog's authors are putting out an official Game of Thrones cookbook (due to be published July 31), titled A Feast of Ice and Fire.
