The Georgia Straight present the Airborne Toxic Event at Venue

The Georgia Straight will present indie rockers from Los Angeles, Airborne Toxic Event at Venue on June 7.

Led by guitarist and vocalist Mikel Jollett, along with guitarist and keyboardist Steven Chen, violist and keyboardist Anna Bulbrook, bassist Noah Harmon, and drummer Daren Taylor, the band will be performing tunes from their latest album, All At Once, set to be released April 26.

Tickets for the the Airborne Toxic Event are priced at $22.50 (plus service fees) and go on sale this Friday (February 25), 10 a.m., at Live Nation, but Straight.com readers can take advantage of our presale, which takes place this Thursday (February 24) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., by using the password "bombastic".

Leading up to the anticipated album the band will showcase every song from All At Once in a weekly series of acoustic performances called "The Bombastic". Check out the video of their first single, "Changing".

Actually, this band is The Airborne Toxic Event. They do rock out, but are not "hard rock", and are definitely not to be confused with the Australian hard rock band Airbourne (who incidentally sound a lot like AC/DC, but that's beside the point). UK journalists often use the British spelling, which only serves to add to the confusion!

Sorry Julie, it's no secret that I'm enamored by most things out of Australia and got the two mixed up! Thanks for catching my space cadet moment, yes this is The Airborne Toxic Event and they do ROCK OUT, but unlike Airbourne they hail from another fave city of mine...LA :)
