The Georgia Straight presents Beth Orton at Venue

Live Nationhas announced that British folktronica singer-songwriter Beth Orton will be performing at Venue on Tuesday, October 16.

Actively recording and performing since 1993, the BRIT Award-winning artist has five studio albums under her belt and has collaborated with the likes of Beck and the Chemical Brothers. Her most recent release, 2006’s Comfort of Strangers, saw Orton move toward a more folk-based sound, rather than the more electronic sound of her older albums.

Tickets for the show are priced at $25 (plus service charges) and go on sale this Friday (June 29) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.
