The Georgia Straight presents Big Sugar at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that Canadian blues-rock group Big Sugar will be performing at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, October 20, in support of its latest album, Revolution Per Minute .

The band—consisting of Gordie Johnson (guitar/vocals), Garry Lowe (bass), Kelly “Mr Chill” Hoppe (harmonica/sax/melodic), Friendlyness (keyboards/toasting), and Stephane “Bodean” Beaudin (drums)—released Revolution Per Minute after a seven-year hiatus. Known for an eclectic style that is not easily labeled and for its live performances, Big Sugar is back.

Tickets for the show are priced at $39.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (June 22) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase at all Ticketmaster Outlets and through Rogers Wireless Box Office.
