The Georgia Straight presents James at the Commodore

      Live Nation has announced that British alt-rock group James will perform at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, April 7.

      Formed in the early '80s, the Manchester-based band once again consists of its original lineup after a six-year hiatus between 2001 and 2007. James has 17 studio albums under its belt, as well hit singles such as "Come Home", "Sit Down", "She's a Star," and "Laid".

      The group is set to return to North America for a West Coast run of dates scheduled around their performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and is writing music for a follow-up album.

      Tickets for the show are priced at $32.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (February 17) at 10 a.m. but Straight readers can take advantage of our exclusive presale on Thursday (February 16) from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. by going to the Ticketmaster website and submitting our exclusive presale password james.

      James are superb live - they have a LOT of excellent songs and make a two hour set seem to pass in ten minutes. Cant wait to see them again! and on a Saturday night!
