The Georgia Straight presents Joss Stone at the Commodore

Live Nationhas announced that British soul singer Joss Stone will perform at the Commodore Ballroom on Thursday, September 27, in support of The Soul Sessions Volume 2.

Securing a record deal at 15 years old, Stone arrived on the music scene in 2003 with her critically acclaimed album The Soul Sessions. Now, at 25, Stone has had many career highlights including performances with the likes of James Brown, Gladys Knight, Solomon Burke, Blondie, Smokey Robinson, and Melissa Etheridge, and recent collaborations with Dave Stewart and Mick Jagger. With over 11 million album sales to date and a wealth of experience under her belt, 2012 seemed like the right time to return to The Soul Session model from a new perspective.

Tickets for the show are priced at $49.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (August 17) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000, at all Ticketmaster Outlets, and through Rogers Wireless Box Office.
