The Georgia Straight presents Sleigh Bells at the Commodore as part of The Straight Series

Live Nation has announced that Brooklyn-based noise pop duo Sleigh Bells will perform at the Commodore Ballroom as part of The Straight Series on Monday, April 9, in support its latest album Reign of Terror.

Sleigh Bells emerged in 2009 after guitarist-producer Derek Miller served singer Alexis Krauss at a Brazilian restaurant in Brooklyn. The duo’s debut album, Treats, graced more than 150 Best-Of lists in 2010. Sleigh Bells recently brought its signature overdriven guitar riffs and sugary female vocals to Saturday Night Live, where it performed "Comeback Kid" and "End of the Line" from the recently released Reign of Terror.

Tickets for the show are priced at $25 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale Friday (March 9) at 10 a.m. but Straight readers can take advantage of our exclusive presale from Wednesday (March 7) at 10 a.m. to Thursday (March 8) at 10 p.m. by going to the Live Nation website and submitting our exclusive presale password terror.

A limited number of tickets will be available through the Straight presale for the lower price of $20 (plus service charges and fees).

Tickets are also available for purchase at all Ticketmaster Outlets and Rogers Wireless Box Office.
