The Georgia Straight presents The Straight Series featuring The Pack a.d. at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that Vancouver-based garage-rock duo The Pack a.d. will play the Commodore Ballroom on Friday, November 23, as part of The Straight Series. Guests for the show will be No Sinner and the Ballantynes.

Since signing to Mint Records, The Pack a.d.—consisting of drummer Maya Miller and guitarist/vocalist Becky Black—has been rising rapidly. In 2008 the duo released both its debut album, Tintype, and Funeral Mixtape, and since then has cemented its place in Canadian independent music with 2010’s we kill computers. The twosome has toured across North America and Europe, collecting glowing reviews and award nominations along the way.

The band’s fourth album, Unpersons, was released last year, and is still going strong, having been embraced by mainstream, indie, and campus radio alike.
