The Georgia Straight presents two Xavier Rudd shows at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that Australian multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd will perform two shows–with guests Good Old War–at the Commodore Ballroom on Thursday, November 15, and Friday, November 16, in support of his latest album, Spirit Bird.

With seven studio albums under his belt since 2002’s To Let, Rudd has gradually refined his globally influenced collage of world music–a mixture of reggae, funk, blues, and folk. With the release of Spirit Bird and single “Follow the Sun”, Rudd returns to the familiar ground of playing alone on stage, baring his soul to the world through his songs.

Tickets for both shows are priced at $35 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (June 22) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase at all Ticketmaster Outlets and through Rogers Wireless Box Office.
