The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the 2012 Vancouver Earth Run

The 2012 Vancouver Earth Run takes place Sunday (June 3) from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Jericho Beach Park. Sponsored by the Georgia Straight and Skechers, this year’s 10-kilometre race and five-kilometre walk/run focuses on supporting oceans, and all proceeds raised will benefit local nonprofit organizations that work toward managing our marine resources.

In addition to the run/walk, the Vancouver Earth Run will feature live music, prizes, and draws, as well as a green info expo. Attendees can expect a bicycle valet, compostable and recyclable food and beverage packaging, free water stations (bring your own cup or water bottle), and local, organic, fair-trade products.
