SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs and Vancouver Moving Theatre present Bah! Humbug!, a special reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol that benefits the Heart of the City Festival and the Vancouver Community Arts Council.

Bah! Humbug! takes place at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre at SFU’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 West Hastings Street) on December 15 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The performance directed by Max Reimer and starring Jay Brazeau as Ebenezer Scrooge, Margo Kane as the narrator, Jim Byrnes as Jacob Marley, and Tom Pickett as Bob Cratchit takes place in a pawn shop on Vancouver’s Hastings Street. The imaginative tale highlights the parallels between the economic disparities of Victorian England with Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Tickets to Bah! Humbug! are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or one hour prior to showtime at the door.
