The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Dapper & Flapper Formal

On June 8, the Museum of Vancouver (1100 Chestnut Street) will transport Vancouverites back in time to 1925 with its Dapper & Flapper Formal event.

The evening event (8:30 to 11:30 p.m.) will toast the Art Deco style of the jazz age with live music, dancing, and “special juice”. Local musicians and dancers, including Maria in the Shower, Myrtle Family Band, Martin and His Tatterdemalions, and Charleston specialists from the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret, are scheduled to perform.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $15 or at the door for $17. Tickets to the Dapper & Flapper Formal include admission to the Art Deco Chic: Extravagant glamour between the wars exhibit.
